Daniel Dubay Interior Design

Daniel Du Bay has been engaged in the professional practice of interior design in Chicago, since 1972, after studying pre-law and interior design at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. He founded his eponymous interior design firm in 1976 and in the years since, the firm has grown to be one of Chicago’s most prominent and respected full service interior architecture and design companies.

In addition to his award-winning work in design, Daniel Du Bay has long been involved with the artistic, civic, and charitable life of Chicago; he has served as a board member of The Illinois Arts Alliance Foundation (1983-1985); on the Auxiliary Board of The School of The Art Institute of Chicago (1992-1993); as Chairman of the Board of DIFFA/Chicago Chapter (1991-1992), and the Board of Directors of The Lincoln Park Conservancy, as co-chair of the capital campaign for the restoration of The Lincoln Park Conservatory (2006-2008); and is presently a member of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art.

He is the recipient of the Chicago Design Resource’s 1990 award for Excellence in Residential Interior Design, and has been featured on HGTV’s “Homes Across America” series.
