About Daniel DuBay

Daniel DuBay

When I enrolled at Drake University, my intent was to become a lawyer. Although my studies followed a different path, I’ve always appreciated having an understanding of the law and its impact on managing a business. Architecture had been a passion since childhood but at a time before computers and math not being my strong suit, I opted for a career in interior design as the two are related. I’ve never regretted the change of direction.

Good design is a balance of scale and connectivity between the structure and its interior.

My Story

I come from a family that instilled in me a balance in life with a sense of community and civic involvement in addition to a career. While in Chicago, I served on the boards of various professional, arts, preservation and civic organizations such as The Illinois Arts Alliance Foundation, the Auxiliary Board of The School of The Art Institute of Chicago, DIFFA Chicago, The Lincoln Park Conservancy and as a member of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art.

Projects

Completed projects range from city residences throughout Chicago, its north shore communities, New York, Connecticut, Florida’s east and west coasts, Wisconsin, Colorado, Arizona and Southern California as well as the Middle East.
